Join an exciting team focused on serving a rural area with the best mental health services. Our agency is looking for a full-time Crisis Services Mental Health Professional.

As our Crisis Services Mental Health Professional, you will work as a member of the crisis team to provide clinical decision-making and assessment, including comprehensive evaluations, crisis intervention, consultation, and planning for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. The goal is to intervene early to prevent exacerbation of symptoms, improve mental wellbeing and build skills of adults, children, and families to reduce utilization when appropriate of higher levels of care or incarceration.

This position works in cooperation with internal Alluma departments and external agency programs for the warm handoff and coordination of care of clients. Additionally, provides pre-petition screenings for commitment hearings of clients with a mental health conditions as needed and may provide clinical supervision to internal or external non-professional individuals for the growth and development of clinical skills and oversight of services provided.

This role does not carry a client caseload beyond crisis intervention.

This position will also support other programs needing assistance completing comprehensive evaluations and making necessary referrals for ongoing support and services within Alluma or through external referrals. The goal is to promote timely access to care for clients seeking services

Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field
  • Current, unencumbered MN License in Social Work, Professional Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy
  • Two years of work experience or structured clinical practice in a supervised environment providing services to mentally ill persons
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable under the agency’s automobile insurance policy
  • Access to a personal vehicle and the ability and willingness to use the vehicle in carrying out position responsibilities, including travel within the service area and to other areas for workshops or as part of job duties.  May require extended periods in the car for work-related duties, so physical ability to do so is a job requirement.
  • Demonstrated ability to function within legal and ethical boundaries consistent with the scope of personal practice or personal licensure, HIPAA guidelines, and other local, state, or federal regulatory guidelines
  • Must be free from substance use problems for a period of no less than 2 years
  • Must pass criminal background study through DHS NetStudy 2.0
