Description

As a Partner in Wellbeing, the Access Specialist works with a team to provide direction for services needed, meeting directly with clients and their families and working with various financial situations and unique requirements. Escalate calls where they are beyond job scope, ensuring quality service. Follow through with customers and problems to ensure closure. This function involves extensive use of electronic health records and data entry accuracy. Within the team, Access Specialists will assist in multiple duties, including answering multi-line telephone systems, registrations, insurance verification, referrals, scheduling, and financial counseling to clients and family members. This position is the first point of contact in assisting clients in their wellbeing journey.

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to clients’ satisfaction and experience at Alluma through face-to-face and virtual interactions and telephone calls.
  • Delivers exceptional client care by ensuring scheduling practices for providers are prioritized.
  • Serves clients by answering questions, providing information, and assisting them in accessing recommended services.
  • Contributes to the EHR integrity by ensuring client information is current and accurate.
  • Portrays a positive attitude and approachable demeanor to ensure clients feel welcomed during the check-in and reception.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED; additional qualifications are considered an asset
  • Must pass a criminal background
  • Free from substance use problems for no less than 2 years
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Customer service
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance plans is beneficial
