Become a part of our team that makes a difference in people’s lives! Our agency is actively looking for a full-time Mental Health Therapist or Clinical Trainee in our Youth & Families program.

Our team is full of passionate, trusted, and knowledgeable providers that support the wellbeing of children and families in our region. This position offers a flexible schedule with later morning start times a couple of days a week to offer flexibility to you and the people we serve.

As a Mental Health Therapist or Clinical Trainee, you will work with children and families and a team of providers to improve their ability to prevent, identify, treat, and reduce the impact of mental health problems among children from prenatal to age 18. This clinician will work with our youth and family team to coordinate care and services and has direct contact with children and families in the home, community, or Telemedicine setting. Assessment and psychotherapy services will be delivered both individually and family-based. The position includes travel, although is nicely reimbursed with mileage, or an agency vehicle is offered, if applicable. The region served includes primarily Polk County and Red Lake County, and other regions as needed.

As a Clinical Trainee, Alluma offers clinical supervision to support your dreams of becoming a Mental Health Professional. We offer board-certified supervisors for Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Board of Behavioral Health with Counseling. We will also provide evidence-based training in family therapy, trauma approaches, and development in Early Childhood.

Requirements

  • Qualified applicants must possess a willingness to learn and apply research-based practices and work well in a team-oriented environment
  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, counseling, psychology or related field
  • Current, unencumbered MN License in Social Work, License in Professional Counseling or License in Marriage and Family Therapy (or ability to achieve licensure in a timely fashion)
  • Desire to work with Early Childhood age and families through 18
  • Access to a personal vehicle and the ability and willingness to use the vehicle in carrying out position responsibilities
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable under the agency’s automobile insurance policy
  • Must be free from substance use problems for a period of no less than 2 years
  • Must pass criminal background study through DHS NetStudy 2.0
